[Pudong] Cycling Sunday Early Ride – 10th May 2015.

Following a tradition we started last year, the “Early Ride” is a more moderately paced ride along the same routes taken by the main 6:45am Pudong Cycling Group. Usually we ride on Saturday morning, but this week we rode on Sunday because of the wet roads the day before. 9 of us started out from GC at 6:30am – 15 mins before the main Pudong Cylcing group. We went south along Jinke Rd to Xiayan and headed West. Then we took a series of turns that is too complicated to describe here that eventually landed us onto Sanlu Rd where we turned North, crossing under the S20 (Outer Ring Expressway) and then past the Middle Ring Road turning left to get over to the Expo. From there we did a lap and a half before heading over to “La Parisienne” right next to the Fuxing Ferry. This is a slightly short route (65 kms without any extra Expo Laps) but a very nice ride especially on an early Sunday morning when the traffic is light. We cruised along between 30-33km/hr and kept the group together. We hope to build up this group to provide an addition to (or alternative to) the “Fast” and “Very Fast” pace of the 6:45 group.
