CNY2016 is full of good rides. I got invitation from ROSH (Ride On Shanghai) crew to do an easy ride to Disneyland. Meeting point – Starbucks at Shaanxi/Xinzha Lu. I was first as I went out quite early and did a short loop around small streets in that area. After few minutes first guys arrived. Few more minutes and the whole group of 12 riders was waiting for the departure. We went to Fuxing Ferry but did it through Yu Yuan area. It was super crowded. It was fun to ride with fixie riders as their bike skills in the city are like 1000 levels higher than mine… After we crossed the river we did an easy pace ride towards Disneyland hoping this time we will be able to access the area. Here and there it was quite windy but only after we got to closed elevated road we were attacked by proper head and crosswinds… it was hard to ride last 5km where at the end we found out that the road is still closed (and for sure will be like this till the opening in June). We decided to go around and try to access the area from a different side. Unfortunately all entrances were secured better than Fort Knox. We found one hole in the fence that we used but it was just going CX style around the perimeter. After we left the CX course we went back to elevated highway and spent there a nice few minutes chillin and talking. Going back we had a small sprint competition (I won ;)). Rest was a history – nice roads to the ferry. We did few faster parts and few slower. After crossing the river we decided to go and eat something but all the places were closed… we ended up at Yongkang Lu with 3 zillions of other ppl. We had to find another place… William suggested a nice and small Danish place and that was best idea in 21st Century. Great food, great prices, great company – proper ending of a good ride! Thanks to ROSH crew for having me and letting me ride with you guys! It was awesome! Few pics:
